The statue of King Kefren was found in a pit in his temple in the valley near the famous Sphinx, which was discovered by the French archaeologist Mariette in the early years of the last century inside this pit, and the valley temple was the temple in which they mummified the king. To this day we do not know how this statue was carved because it was carved in diorite stone; diorite is the hardest stone found in Egypt to this day, this statue is now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo
